About us

LexTRG Academy is a legal-education platform dedicated to making Indian laws clearer, more structured, and easier to remember. We hope that it will help the legal fraternity especially the law students in understanding the concepts in a better way. Regards,

LexTRG Academy is a legal-education platform dedicated to making Indian law clearer, more structured, and easier to remember. We teach law and legal subjects, including but not limited to – Constitution, Criminal Law, Civil Procedure and other citizen-facing statutes for students of the three-year and five-year LL.B. courses. Additionally, we are quite confident that it will also be useful for competitive-exam aspirants, and for members of the public who wish to understand the law that governs them.

Our Aim and Purpose

Generally, it can be observed that the Indian legal texts are very precise. They are ‘to the point’ and are drafted with clear one thing in mind – No interpretation gap should be there. On the other hand, we all know that there is a vast resource of classroom notes and coaching summaries that are available in today’s age. Our initiative – ‘LexTRG Academy’ quietly sits between those two points. We try to explain each subject from the statute outward: the section, the principle, the leading public judgment, and the practical effect a student or citizen actually needs to grasp.

What we cover

We deal with the diverse law/legal topics ranging from Constitutional Law and Indian Polity to Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam 2023, etc. Contemporary and Special enactments like – RTI Act, IT Act, POCSO Act, POSH Act, etc. New criminal laws receive particular attention because the codes are still settling into practice and because that is the founder’s field of postgraduate study.

The Founder

LexTRG Academy is founded and taught by Ankit Singh Gehlot, who is a practising Advocate, and who holds a Master degree in Laws with specialisation in Criminal Laws. He has more than five years of professional experience in the field.

His role on this platform is that of a mentor. Academic and professional particulars are stated so that viewers can assess the source of the explanation. The matter stated herein is for the purpose of knowing about us. For any legal queries, consult a local area/region based Advocate/Counsel.

“I believe that we all learn from experience. I feel that law is a very interesting subject, for the reason that every statute/Act is enacted with a reason – to deal with a real-life situation.” – Ankit Singh Gehlot says.

How the name evolved

LexTRG Academy – the name has its own relevance.

Lex refers to ‘law’.

TRG is the mark that holds special value to the Founder. Its the abbreviation of the name of his beloved father, Dr Tulsi Ram Gehlot, who was a well-known Surgeon and a very humble human being. His father believed in – “Learn and Give Back to the Society”. This remains the guiding light to the Founder, which led to this initiative – LexTRG Academy.

Academy is the method — structured teaching rather than commentary

Our Method of Teaching

Lessons are built for retention. A typical session isolates one concept, states the black-letter rule, shows how it differs from the provision it replaced where that is relevant, and stops before speculation. Language is kept plain enough for a first-year student and exact enough for a final-year exam.

All material is general legal information. Nothing on this website or on our videos constitutes legal advice, creates an advocate–client relationship, or comments on any matter pending before a court.

Professional boundaries

LexTRG Academy complies with the professional standards that govern advocates and legal educators in India, including the prohibition on advertising and solicitation. We do not publish outcome guarantees, client testimonials, chamber or courtroom imagery, or any content that uses proceedings as promotion.

Educational use of social media and video is limited to accurate, non-sensational explanation of the law.

Disclaimer

The content published by LexTRG Academy is for academic and public-awareness purposes only. It is not a substitute for independent legal advice. Statutes are amended and judgments are distinguished. Readers and viewers should verify the current text of the law and, where a concrete problem arises, consult an advocate enrolled to practise in the relevant court.

LexTRG Academy does not solicit professional engagement through this website.
